So basically I wanted to compile the hottest tracks from April and rank them accordingly. I'm working on getting a full dl'able link, but let me know what you guys think, maybe this will become a monthly thing...
best of april
# 13 Obie Trice-Krazy An ode to the late great 2pac. I haven't given up on you yet Obie. Bottom's Up is coming soon...
# 12 Crooked I-Jackin For Beats 2009 Just another example of Crooked I ripping multiple beats to shreds, like the classic The Finale from the Hip Hop Weekly series. Be on the lookout for Crooked's upcoming mixtape with King Tech...
#11 Kanye West, Malik Yusef, John Legend & Common-Magic Man Good Music Posse cut. Real laid back track.
#10 Talib Kweli & Styles P-Thrill Is Gone (Prod by Statik Selektah) Talib and Styles P ride this smooth track, off Statik's upcoming LP, The Hangover.
# 9 B.o.B ft Devin The Dude-Gettin High This dropped right around 420 and is one of the most laid back tracks you'll ever hear.
# 8 J Cole-Grown Simba Probably one of the most underrated songs I've heard in a while. The Roc newbie is just starting to generate some nice buzz and if you haven't heard him yet, this is a good place to start
# 7 Bishop Lamont-Friends He may never drop an album, but with leaks like this, it's easy to see why Bishop is one of the few proteges left on Aftermath. Silky smooth production courtesy of Hi Tek
# 6 Kid Cudi, Kanye West & Common-Poke Her Face Probably the dopest track Cudi has been on in his young career.
# 5Rick Ross ft Nas-Usual Suspects An unbelievably catchy hook, a great beat and an outstanding Nas feature. Who cares that it's a Rick Ross record
#4 Raekwon ft AZ-Whips And Kicks You can't go wrong with AZ and Raekwon, two of the illest spitters from NY and they both murder this track.
# 3 Clipse ft Kanye West-Kinda Like A Big Deal The best 420 present.
# 2 Method Man, Redman, Raekwon & Ghostface-4 Minutes To Lockdown Ridiculous lineup, do not sleep on this track.
#1 Rick Ross ft Kanye West, Lil Wayne, T Pain-Maybach Music 2 (Prod by Justice League) The hottest beat of 09. You can say what you want about Rick Ross not being that lyrically talented, but this is an unbelievable lineup and Justice League cooks up an incredible beat.
Leave me some feedback let me know what you guys think!!
